Analog to Laquer Mastering

     
  When using an analog source to produce a laquer master our capabilities are:
  • analog tape size: ¼ inch tape only (cannot do ½ inch)
  • recording speed: 7.5, 15 and 30 ips (inches per second)
  • analog noise reduction: DBX type 1, Dolby A (cannot do Dolby SR or Burwen Noise Reduction
  • analog tape format: 2 track stereo or mono (we can do early ¼ track
Our requirements are:
  • alignment tones: 1 kHz, 10 kHz, 100 Hz and/or 50 Hz
  • indicate if any noise reduction: DBX type 1/Dolby A
  • clearly mark legend on box with titles, timings and special instructions
  • put leader tape before, between and after cuts with the correct amount of space between songs (usually 3 to 5 seconds) [note any obvious level discrepancies]
  • rundown, editing and EQ are all available at additional cost
