ABOUT ERIKA RECORDS
Erika Records Inc. was started as a heavy metal record label by Liz Dunster in Bellflower, California in 1980. After spending 11 years in the family record business, Liz was motivated to branch out from the family business and make her own name in the record industry. After a year of pressing her label with other companies Liz was unhappy with the quality of the record pressings she was receiving and decided to go back to her roots in the record industry: pressing vinyl. In 1981, Liz bought her first record press to be able to press her own records for her label, and to also be able to control the quality of the product; the rest is history. Liz has always been adamant on keeping the history of quality vinyl records alive. When other companies were going to all automatic presses Liz kept her semi-automatic presses running and in doing so kept her employees employed. Erika Records now has on the line 16 automatic presses and 18 semi-automatic presses.
Liz is the driving force behind coming up with the innovative and creative ideas between artists and production teams; she is always looking for the next great creative idea that will transpose to vinyl. Liz is a hands on owner who is aware of all current projects and is committed to a top quality product and excellent customer service.
When you enter Erika Records you will know right away that what Liz and her team is creating she loves. From the most amazing record wall that showcases big groups and labels right next to smaller groups and labels, to her collection of record memorabilia. You know that pressing records is not just a business but a love of what she does and those she comes into contact with.
Even as Erika Records has grown it is still a family business and if you arenít ìfamilyî you are part of the family. Liz treats everyone like family. This mindset is why Erika Records customers know that no matter what size job they have the team at Erika Records will do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Since 1980 Erika Records has grown and moved locations several times. In 2010 Erika Records moved into a 36,000 sq. ft. facility in Buena Park California. The end result of this large move is that not only will Erika Records press vinyl records, but that Erika Records will be the ultimate one stop shop for all your vinyl record needs and Liz couldnít be prouder since this is how it all began, being able to control the quality of the product. Erika Records will now be able to increase the volume of their pressings and be able to provide all customers with a top quality product from a company that cares.
The team at Erika Records is dedicated to professional customer service and creating a top quality product. We are proud to say ìMade in the USA!î
